Key Stage 3

Our Key Stage Three students are our key learners and are therefore expected to model excellent behaviors and outcomes for the rest of the school.

By this point in their education, students are challenged to learn with even greater independence within a more specialised curriculum, which has an increasing focus on specialist subject areas. Greater detail within a wider range of subjects helps to prepare students for the move into Grade 9 and higher, with its associated challenge of external national examinations.

As students approach the end of their school journey there is a strong focus on developing their contributions to wider community, allowing them to ‘give something back’. Such opportunities are plentiful and lie across an extremely wide range of areas.

We group our students closely to their learning needs to ensure they get the exact support they need to make rapid progress.

All students concentrate in developing the four vital skills they need to access the curriculum at secondary school: communication, collaboration, independence and thinking skills.

Students follow a broad and balanced curriculum that consists of English, Maths, Science, Design Technology, History, Geography, ICT, Art, Islamic Studies, Physical Education and Personal Development.
